Nurturing Transformation through Somatic Wisdom, Authenticity, and Relational Healing
Hello, I’m Misha.
As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I view therapy as a collaborative journey of inquiry, discovery, and healing. I understand that healing is rarely simple—it can be complex and even messy. Together, we will co-create a therapeutic space where all parts of your experience are honored, held, and explored with compassion.
I bring a somatic orientation to therapy, inviting you to bring your whole self—including your body—into each session. You are in control of the pace, which supports listening to your body and experiencing emotions as they arise. This process also involves identifying and externalizing the internalized effects of systemic oppression and trauma that live within the mind and body.
As a queer therapist, I deeply understand the challenges and power of living outside dominant societal norms. I am committed to supporting clients in discovering and embodying their unique authenticity and self-expression.
I look forward to partnering with you on your healing journey.
My Specialties
I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families across diverse backgrounds and identities. My specialties include:
Body-centered trauma healing: Guiding clients to reconnect with physical sensations to release trauma and emotional tension.
Queer and gender-diverse support: Empowering LGBTQIA+ individuals to explore identity and navigate related challenges with confidence.
Couples, partnership, and family dynamics: Facilitating healthier communication, conflict resolution, and relationship growth. I particularly enjoy working with clients who are exploring or embracing diverse relationship styles—-including non-monogamy and kink—-and helping them clarify and honor their values, boundaries, and desires around intimacy and connection.
Cultural identity and self-expression: Assisting clients in embracing their heritage and authentic selves.
Navigating Life Transitions: Supporting clients through stress, grief, and major life changes with compassion and resilience-building.
My Approach to Therapy
Collaborative and client-centered: Therapy is a partnership where your experience and pace guide our work together.
Somatic awareness: I use body-focused techniques to deepen emotional processing and healing.
Trauma-informed care: I work with you to recognize the impact of trauma and systemic oppression on mental and physical health while prioritizing safety.
Queer-affirming and inclusive: I provide a welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ clients and clients with other marginalized identities.
Relational healing: I work to build trust through genuine presence to foster growth and change.
