Supporting Healing through Culture, Connection, and Liberation
“Our feelings are our most genuine paths to knowledge.” — Audre Lorde
Hello, I’m Soha.
I’m the daughter of Pakistani Muslim immigrants and a therapist deeply invested in the healing and liberation of BIPOC communities and individuals with multiple intersecting marginalized identities. I was drawn to this work because, as a third culture kid, I struggled to find a therapist who could truly understand all of me. Now, I strive to offer the kind of culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and affirming care I once needed.
My practice is a welcoming space for all parts of you. Whether you’re seeking therapy to explore your identity, heal from trauma, manage stress or anxiety, or process life transitions and experiences of injustice, I am here to support individuals of all ages, couples, and families—especially those navigating complex cultural, relational, and systemic dynamics.
Working with me is an invitation to come as you are and be met with warmth, compassion, non-judgment, and radical acceptance. Together, we’ll build a therapeutic relationship that supports you in reclaiming your story, reconnecting to your power, and imagining new possibilities for healing and growth.
This is a soft place to land. It is a place to be embraced as you are and gently encouraged to grow in the ways you want. A place where the toughest parts of ourselves are invited to sit down and be poured a warm cup of tea. I look forward to the opportunity of working with you.
My Specialties
I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families—— throughout California via telehealth and in-person in Oakland and the East Bay. I specialize in working with people whose lives are shaped by multiple identities, systemic injustice, and complex life experiences.
I am particularly well suited to serve BIPOC folks, those in the Asian diaspora, Queer and Trans folks, Muslims, activists, children of any age of immigrants/third culture kids, immigrants, and multicultural individuals, couples, and families.
My areas of focus include:
Trauma, anxiety, and depression: Compassionate care for healing from trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, and burnout.
Cultural identity and immigration: Support navigating bicultural identity, intergenerational dynamics, and immigrant experiences.
LGBTQ+ and gender identity: Affirming therapy for queer, trans, and gender-expansive clients exploring identity and relationships.
Relationships and family: Helping individuals, couples, and families improve communication and heal relational wounds.
Liberatory healing and decolonized care: Integrating somatic practices and ancestral wisdom within anti-oppressive frameworks.
My Approach to Therapy
My therapy practice is rooted in anti-oppressive, abolitionist, and decolonized ideologies, prioritizing social justice and healing beyond western pathologizing models.
I offer consent-focused, client-led, and collaborative therapy, honoring you as the expert of your own experience and encouraging you to guide the pace and focus of our work.
I integrate ancestral wisdom and community-centered healing with evidence-based approaches including somatic therapy, relational therapy, feminist theory, narrative therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
My approach is trauma-informed and identity-affirming for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients. I am deeply aware of how systemic oppression—-such as racism, cultural marginalization, and other forms of injustice—-affect emotional well-being, safety, trust, and identity development.
Central to my practice is building meaningful therapeutic relationships where you are met with warmth, compassion, non-judgment, and radical acceptance.
In sessions, I use somatic and narrative inquiry with questions like “Whose story is this?” and “How does this feel in your body?” to support deeper self-awareness and healing.
