Centering Social Justice & Healing
Hello, I’m Tamar.
As a therapist, I am dedicated to providing compassionate and culturally-informed therapy to individuals navigating a wide range of mental health concerns. My practice is grounded in principles of social justice, including anti-racism, 2SLGBTQIA+ advocacy, disability justice, and the importance of empowerment and self-determination.
I work with individuals, couples, and families to address challenges in areas such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, life transitions, and personal growth. I have extensive experience in, and particular affinity for, working with neurodivergent individuals. Whether you’re navigating identity exploration, healing from trauma, or working through relationship dynamics, my goal is to support you in uncovering your inner strength and moving toward greater fulfillment and connection.
My work is based on collaboration, trust, and respect, and I believe therapy should be a safe space where you can bring all parts of yourself—your struggles, your strengths, and your aspirations. I am deeply invested in the life-long learning that is required to be a therapist that is as anti-racist, anti-ableist, queer-allied, and fat-positive as possible.
My Specialties
Youth, teens, and young adults facing transitions, identity exploration, and emotional challenges
Adults and couples navigating relationship dynamics, understanding neurodivergence, healing from trauma, and improving communication

My Approach to Therapy

Therapy is a deeply personal journey, and I am here to support you in exploring your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a way that promotes healing and growth. My goal is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, navigate challenges, and create a life that feels fulfilling and authentic. I use a strengths-based approach, and love to bring humor into our work at times.
